Job summary

Blood Assurance in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to fabricate, assemble and finish bespoke furniture and cabinetry in our Mobile Shop. You will read technical drawings, select materials, operate woodworking machinery, and ensure safety, quality, and craftsmanship in every piece.

Joinery expertise and precise workmanship are essential, with occasional site installations. The role offers full-time, on-site work within a mission-driven nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship or vocational qualification in carpentry or cabinet making.
• Trade certification is desirable.
• Experience reading technical drawings is essential.
• CAD drawings knowledge and CNC experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble bespoke furniture, cabinetry, joinery, and timber products.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit materials accurately.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely.
• Perform sanding, finishing, and assembly work.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout production.
• Maintain workshop equipment and cleanliness.
• Assist with installations as required.
• Occasional travel to installation sites may be required.

Cabinet Maker

Blood Assurance is seeking a dedicated CabinetMaker, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will help shape high-quality woodwork in our Mobile Shop. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and finishing high-quality wooden products, including bespoke furniture, cabinetry, joinery, fixtures, and fittings. The role requires the ability to interpret technical drawings, select appropriate materials, operate woodworking machinery, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of craftsmanship, safety, and quality.

Cabinet Maker Job Responsibilities:

• Manufacture and assemble bespoke furniture, cabinetry, joinery, and timber products.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit materials accurately.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely.
• Perform sanding, finishing, and assembly work.

Cabinet Maker Job Qualifications:

• Desirable: Trade certification, CNC experience, and knowledge of CAD drawings.
• Strong carpentry and joinery skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Knowledge of woodworking materials and machinery.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials safely, and work in a workshop environment.
