Job summary

D’Asign Source is seeking an experienced carpenter to lead a crew of carpenters and subcontractors on construction projects. The candidate will self-perform framing, drywall, finishing, painting, trim, cabinetry and related tasks to ensure top quality results.

The role requires owning a complete set of quality carpentry tools, reading blueprints, and coordinating with project managers and design staff. Excellent physical ability and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and highly skilled ability to operate carpenter tools and equipment.
• Ability to lay out construction, remodeling and alteration work.
• Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Job description

Position Summary: Under broad supervision of designated supervisors, to be responsible for work assign to a crew of carpenters and subcontractors by project manager .

Perform all duties of a carpenter or finish carpenter by self performing and completing construction related tasks, in the highest quality, such as framing, drywall, finishing interior and exterior , painting, trim, cabinetry and case work, windows and doors, frames, hardware, t ile, wood flooring, etc… following recognized procedures/techniques for such work, as required.

Must personally own and use a good compliment of quality tools to complete the work listed herein under normal situations; if job requires certain specialized tools, D'Asign Source will provide or rent such tools upon authorization from the supervisor.

Interacts with executive officers, project managers, architectural and design staff, construction administrators, and others to facilitate completion of various tasks as assigned.

Provides material takeoffs as required for completion of each task assigned , and can procure materials if needed in his/her own vehicle .

Provide daily job reports back to supervisors if required.

Accurate and timely execution and completion of work.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Mininum Acceptable Qualifications:

Knowledge of and highly skilled ability to operate carpenter tools and equipment.

Ability to lay out construction, remodeling and alteration work.

Must be able to wear an d use appropriate personal protective equipment, as necessary.

Self starter with ability to manage and complete multiple tasks daily , and within a team atmosphere.

Extensive hands-on abilities such as framing, drywall, finishing, paint, doors, frames, hardware etc.

Good skills and knowledge of all divisions and sections of construction.

Ability to read blueprints.

Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy work with exposure to inclement w eather conditions for prolonged periods of time , and work at heights (such as ladders, scaffolds, manlifts, etc) .

Valid motor vehicle operator's license.
