Job summary

Rochester Sand and Gravel is seeking a Construction Equipment Operator - Motor Grader to balance roadways and perform finish grading with precision. The role emphasizes proficiency with bluetops or electronic blade controls to achieve final tolerances and smooth surfaces.

The position runs April/May through November as a full-time seasonal role, with overtime, some Saturdays, and potential for advancement within the crew.

Qualifications

• Three years or more of finish blade experience.
• Ability to understand grades from plans, slopes and identify conflicts.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to work in all seasonal weather and environments.
• Ability to take instructions and communicate effectively as a team leader.

Responsibilities

• Balance roadway prior to finish grade using bluetops and/or electronic blade controls.
• Finish grading including super curves, turn lanes, parking lots and shoulder construction.
• On-the-job training with potential for advancement.
• Local and regional travel opportunities.
