Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Finish Blade Operator to safely and efficiently operate a finish motor grader on our Arizona projects. You will work with the earthwork crew to achieve precise subgrade, base, and surface grading per survey stakes and design elevations.

Candidates should have 5–7 years of heavy equipment experience, 3–5 years in finish grade, and familiarity with GPS technology such as Trimble.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in construction is required.
• Finish grading with precision following elevations and blue tops.
• Proven safety record in heavy equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a finish motor grader to meet tolerances.
• Engage in fine grading, slope shaping, and finishing of subgrade, base courses, and final road surfaces.
• Follow design specifications and blue tops for precision work.
• Interpret survey stakes and ensure grading per elevations.
• Perform routine safety inspections of equipment before and during use.
• Maintain equipment in safe, operable condition.
• Work with the crew to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
