Job Description

We’re looking for a Finishing Hand with experience in underground utilities to join our crew. This role is key to wrapping up projects the right way — you’ll be responsible for restoring job sites, final grading, and helping prep for inspections and project close‑out. If you take pride in a clean, professional‑looking finish and know what it means to leave a site better than you found it, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform final grading, backfill, and compaction to meet job specs
• Restore landscaping, sidewalks, driveways, or pavement as needed
• Set and adjust utility structures like manhole rings/lids and valve boxes to final grade
• Assist with cleanup and job site restoration before inspections
• Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and ready for turnover
• Work closely with foremen and inspectors to ensure punch lists are completed

Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience operating a motor grader to create smooth, level surfaces on construction sites
• Proven experience operating finish blade equipment in civil construction
• Strong understanding of grading, slopes, and finish tolerances
• Ability to read grade stakes and follow site plans
• Safety‑focused, dependable, and able to work in a team environment
