Job summary

Boise River Cabinets in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Finish Assistant to join our production team and help ensure top-quality surfaces on our custom cabinetry. You will work on sanding, painting and coating, and collaborate with production to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting finished items for defects, applying finishes with brushes or spray guns, and keeping tools and safety protocols in top form. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic experience or training in manufacturing or finishing processes.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
• Familiarity with hand tools and finishing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces of manufactured items by cleaning, sanding, or otherwise conditioning them for finishing processes.
• Apply finishes such as paint, varnish, lacquer, or powder coatings using brushes, spray guns, or other equipment.
• Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections and perform touch-ups or rework as necessary to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain and clean finishing tools and equipment to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with production and quality control teams to communicate issues and implement improvements in finishing processes.
