The Fingerprint Identification Unit of the State of Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection is seeking a full-time technician in Middletown, CT. Qualifications

• Two years of experience in obtaining, classifying, searching and filing fingerprints.
• Knowledge of Henry System and NCIC fingerprint coding.
• Ability to operate fingerprint equipment and document results.

Responsibilities

• Takes fingerprint impressions and ensures proper collection.
• Classifies, compares and files fingerprint impressions using Henry System and NCIC coding.
• Conducts file searches to establish positive identification with prints in master files.
• Processes latent fingerprints and other identifying material.
• May testify in court and perform related duties as required.
