Job Overview

As a Fine Jewelry Associate, you will drive store sales by providing exceptional customer service and in-depth product knowledge. You will help clients select jewelry that symbolizes special moments and build lasting relationships, ensuring they trust Belk for their fine jewelry needs. Working closely with a team, you'll contribute to a positive environment focused on mutual success.

Responsibilities

1. Meet or exceed sales goals, including personal and event-specific targets.
2. Develop a customer base through profile cards, follow-ups, and personalized communication.
3. Assist customers in selecting merchandise and offer complimentary items.
4. Handle transactions professionally and accurately.
5. Perform minor jewelry repairs and maintain visual merchandising standards.
6. Follow security procedures to safeguard merchandise.
7. Complete diamond testing and inventory replenishment.
8. Coordinate with Repair department for customer repairs.
9. Adhere to all policies, including dress code and operational procedures.
10. Complete required training and pass quizzes with a minimum score of 8.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Retail or sales experience; fine jewelry experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Knowledge of diamonds and gemstones
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
