Job summary

Express Pawn in Grand Island, NE is seeking an experienced Jewelry Sales Associate to join our team. You will assist customers in selecting and purchasing fine jewelry, test precious metals for authenticity, and price items based on current market values.

You will evaluate jewelry for purchases and pawn loans, maintain displays, and build lasting customer relationships in a fast-paced pawn shop environment. Prior jewelry sales experience is required and strong negotiation skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Prior jewelry sales experience required.
• Knowledge of gold, silver, diamonds, and gemstones.
• Experience testing precious metals and evaluating jewelry.
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with selecting and purchasing fine jewelry, including gold, silver, diamonds, and gemstones.
• Evaluate jewelry for purchases, pawn loans, and resale.
• Identify and test precious metals, diamonds, and gemstones for authenticity and quality.
• Accurately assess jewelry values based on weight, purity, condition, and current market prices.
• Negotiate purchases and sales while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain attractive, organized, and properly priced jewelry displays.
• Build customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and general store operations.
