Job summary

Pennsylvania College of Technology is seeking a full-time waitstaff person for the Le Jeune Chef restaurant. Responsibilities include arranging dining areas, serving wines, and taking orders. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of food service, proper serving techniques, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the dining room management course or six months' work experience as waitstaff.
• Safe Alcohol Service Certification as part of RAMP Server/Seller Training.
• Full service waitstaff experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and set up the dining room area.
• Serve wines and assist patrons with wine selection.
• Take orders and serve appropriately to patrons.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables and serving area.
• Assist other waitstaff and participate in team tasks.

Skills

General knowledge of the food service industry

Knowledge of proper serving techniques for foods and beverages

Knowledge of wines and wine service

Ability to take direction

Interpersonal skills for dealing with patrons

Familiarity with food sanitation and safety methods

Education
