Job summary

Columbia Hospitality is seeking a Full-Time Server at The State Hotel in Seattle, WA. You will take orders, deliver food and beverages, upsell where possible, and ensure an exceptional guest experience in a historic hotel setting.

Responsibilities include using the POS, coordinating with the kitchen, keeping a clean dining area, and staying informed about menu changes and daily specials. Prior hospitality experience and valid local certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment.
• Ability to perform essential functions on the POS system.
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• State Food Handler’s License and Liquor Serving Permit.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and serves food and beverages per standards.
• Enters orders into POS and relays special requests to kitchen.
• Ensures attractive and correct presentation and temperature.
• Maintains knowledge of menu items and sold-out offerings.
• Processes guest payments with proper cash handling.
• Maintains a clean dining area and work space.
