Job summary

Acme Hospitality is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to warmly greet guests and manage seating at our California locations. You will escort guests, manage the waitlist, and coordinate with service staff to ensure a smooth dining experience.

The role requires excellent customer service, a polished appearance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A Food Handler Certification is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Host/Hostess in fine dining or upscale settings is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional and polished appearance with adherence to dress code.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong organizational skills for managing reservations and seating.
• Familiarity with reservation management systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide a warm welcome.
• Escort guests to tables and assist with seating as needed.
• Manage waitlist and track reservations and walk-ins.
• Provide accurate wait time estimates and communicate delays.
• Coordinate with waitstaff and kitchen for timely seating.
• Answer calls and respond to reservations inquiries.
• Assist in taking and confirming reservations.
• Maintain organized host stand and materials.
• Monitor dining area and ambience for guest comfort.
• Communicate guest preferences and table availability to staff.
• Provide menus and information about specials or wine lists.
• Support special events or private dining bookings as needed.
• Keep restrooms clean and stocked.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
