Bob’s Steak & Chop House

Since opening in Dallas, Texas, in 1993, Bob’s Steak & Chop House has been synonymous with a great steakhouse experience. Building on our reputation, we have expanded nationwide, offering the best cuts of meat, including USDA prime beef, and Texas-sized portions of award-winning sides. Our menu features mouth-watering seafood, homemade and local ingredients, and a large wine selection, often 300 to 500 bottles, with wines sourced globally. Each location has climate-controlled wine cellars and features a Wine of the Month.

**Bob's Steak & Chop House is open for dinner only and closed on Sundays and most major holidays.**

Ensure all food prep items and orders are prepared and stored according to specifications within the kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with the Chef to learn daily tasks and coordinate work, completing the prep list.
  • Be knowledgeable of plate presentations and menu item preparations.
  • Prepare all items on the prep list following standard procedures or supervisor instructions.
  • Maintain high quality by inspecting all food products for quality during prep and service.
  • Check portion control, weights, and counts before service.
  • Cook and serve food according to standards and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures.
  • Follow storage procedures when handling food out of and back into the walk-in.
  • Keep work areas clean and sanitized at all times.
  • Prepare food consistently, following recipes and standards, and rotate perishables properly.
  • Check stock levels, prepare necessary items, and note shortages.
  • Return unused food to storage, properly covered and dated.
  • Assist with special meal preparations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by culinary leadership.
Qualifications
  • 6 months to 3 years relevant culinary experience, preferably in high-volume upscale restaurants.
  • Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
  • Good coordination to operate kitchen equipment safely.
  • Experience with sautéing, broiling, and frying.
  • Basic math skills for recipes and measurements.
  • Ability to work well with team members and handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Understanding of sanitation standards.
  • Ability to use culinary tools and senses (taste and smell).
  • Motivated, organized, clean, and team-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions.
