Job summary

Moss New York, operated by Compass Group USA, is hiring full-time bartenders for a refined members’ dining experience located at 520 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10036. Open availability and fine dining background are required.

The role focuses on preparing beverages, ensuring liquor compliance, and delivering exceptional service in a sophisticated bar setting. Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of fine dining experience and can manage cash handling, bar stock, and fast-paced guest service

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of fine dining restaurant experience.
• Full time availability and schedule flexibility required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up bars and stocks beer, wine, spirits, and bar supplies as needed.
• Maintains stock, garnishes, juices and perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Takes and processes drink orders; prepares and presents drinks per recipes; ensures proper portion control.
• Checks IDs and observes liquor laws.
• Processes cash, verifies charges, and handles cash drops.
• Keeps work area clean and organized; secures products and cash.
• Arranges bottles for an attractive bar display; washes stemware.
