Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned and knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Minimum experience as a student teacher or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans aligned to TEKS and accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Plan and use instructional strategies to engage students in fine arts.
• Provide formative and summative assessment and use results to guide instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Use technology to enhance teaching and student engagement.
• Supervise extracurricular activities as assigned.
