Job summary

East Texas A&M University seeks a Coordinator of Financial Wellness Initiatives to develop and oversee comprehensive programming that builds students’ financial literacy and mindset. You will co-organize in-person and virtual events, supervise interns, and collaborate with faculty to align with academic goals.

The role requires strong public speaking, program development, and mentoring skills, with frequent evening work and a 40-hour flexible schedule to meet student needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years related experience in program development, event planning, public speaking, or financial education.
• Experience supervising student employees or interns is preferred.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet applications, and presentation software.

Responsibilities

• Develops a comprehensive financial wellness strategy focused on equipping students with lifelong financial skills.
• Designs, coordinates, and delivers virtual, in-person, and outreach-based workshops and events focused on financial literacy and empowerment.
• Provides individualized financial wellness coaching and supports the internship program, including supervision and scheduling of interns.
• Establishes and maintains partnerships, tracks outcomes for grant reporting, and continuously improves program effectiveness.
