Qualifications

Position Overview: As a Financial Transition Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Agency Management System (AMS) Conversion Team in converting the financial data obtained from the firm's legacy agency management system platforms to Patriot’s standard operating AMS platforms. This position reports to the Vice President of Accounting Integration and Due Diligence.

Work location arrangement: This position is a full time, fully remote position with a preference for qualified candidates in the U.S. Eastern or Central time zones.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Obtain financial and accounting related data from potential acquisition parties in various formats
  • Formulate the data needed into standard templated spreadsheets via Excel
  • Collaborate with potential acquisition firm personnel, including meetings and tracking progress on decisions and cleanup
  • Collaborate with the acquiring firm personnel and Patriot project leads to facilitate the firm's financial data transition over to Patriot’s financial platforms
  • Assist with financial discovery of the integrating firm's data and processes and make suggested solutions for accurate mapping into Patriot’s standards
  • Guide financial data hygiene throughout the project
  • Preparation of accounting work orders for discussions with the firm and configuration setup in Patriot’s agency management system
  • Ensure various milestones are met in accordance with the project plan and timeline
  • Add financial transactions and opening balance sheet activities by preparing a templated financial document and use of Excel import tools
  • Validate and ensure financial data integrity between integrating firm's source system, Patriot’s AMS, and Patriot’s general ledger system
  • Prepare the integrated firm's monthly and final reconciliation workbook to assist in financial analysis and for the final delivery to Patriot regional accounting teams
  • Track financial conversion issues to ensure these are reported, corrected, and validated
  • Collaborate with Patriot's M&A team, Integration team, and AMS Conversion team to ensure complete knowledge transfer and a smooth transition for the firm to become a fully integrated entity
  • Attend and participate in on-site events and meetings with the firm and Patriot's M&A team during specific points in the acquisition process as required

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in an insurance, brokerage or MGA/MGU environment
  • Working knowledge with Applied Epic, BenefitPoint and other agency management systems
  • Prior experience with conversion of financial data from one system to another
  • Prior involvement and participation in a large organization’s system implementation
  • 3-5 years’ experience working with formatting data in Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including data formatting, lookups, pivot tables, and formulas
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to take on a variety of projects, complete tasks, and adapt to changing business needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Proven record to handle diverse workload and meet critical deadlines within budget
  • Possess personal and business integrity with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future

Compensation Range: A starting base salary in the $75,000 - $85,000 range, depending on the candidate’s experience. This position is also eligible for additional incentive compensation that is performance based.

*A wide salary range is posted for this position, and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
