ABOUT THE POSITION

The Financial Transformation Consultant partners with clients to understand their financial processes, identify opportunities for improvements, and implement solutions.

Technical Responsibilities
  1. Research and analyze data for detailed reports and interpret results to support strategic decision-making.
  2. Train client employees and Kiwi staff on system use, functionality, workflow, reporting, dashboards, and interfaces.
  3. Assist Lead Financial Engineers in system implementations, including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Expensify, etc.
  4. Support process walkthroughs, document accounting procedures, and streamline processes.
  5. Manage mapping of chart of accounts and financial dimensions from legacy to new systems.
  6. Develop metrics dashboards to monitor strategic measures, metrics, and KPIs.
  7. Review timesheet and procurement processes for efficiency.
  8. Support annual cash flow forecasting models.
  9. Evaluate accounting tasks and recommend improvements for month-end closing processes.
  10. Research, test, and perform proof of concepts on recommended applications.
  11. Assist in workforce needs assessments.
  12. Collaborate with Project Managers on task analysis, budget tracking, project timelines, and status reports.
Client Management Responsibilities
  1. Understand client expectations as discussed in engagement meetings.
  2. Deliver high-quality work on time, in accordance with Kiwi’s Quality Management System.
  3. Proactively communicate with managers and clients to build trust and address issues early.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. 2-4 years of progressive accounting or consulting experience.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, SharePoint, Teams, Planner.
  3. Proficiency in Smartsheet.
  4. Knowledge of accounting systems, internal controls, and process improvements.
  5. Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Highly Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  1. Experience in small non-profits, startups, or unstructured environments.
  2. Certifications in QBO, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, or Expensify.
  3. 1-2 years of Sage Intacct Implementation experience.

Total Rewards (Compensation and Benefits)

This is a full-time position with a competitive total rewards package, including salary, bonus, and benefits. Compensation varies by location:

  • Chicago: $80,000 - $100,000
  • DC: $85,000 - $105,000
  • NY: $90,000 - $113,000
  • SF: $90,000 - $113,000

Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, reimbursements, pre-tax benefits, bonuses, and professional development opportunities. Full benefits start from day one.

Compensation Range

$75,000 - $113,000
