Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience working with financial systems, Finance technology, Accounting systems, or related applications.
• Strong Elite 3E expertise required.
• Experience in a law firm or complex professional services environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis.
• Experience participating in or leading systems implementations, upgrades, integrations, or major enhancement projects.
• Understanding of Accounting, Billing, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and related Finance processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems independently and communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as functional owner and SME for Elite 3E within the Finance technology ecosystem.
• Support and optimize systems used across Accounting, Billing, Accounts Payable, and other Finance functions.
• Take ownership of complex systems issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
• Configure, test, and deploy system enhancements that improve functionality, data quality, and user experience.
• Support critical financial systems activities associated with month-end and year-end close.
• Identify manual processes and lead redesigns with Finance stakeholders to improve workflows.
• Lead enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and other Finance technology initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Translate Accounting and Finance requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Coordinate testing, documentation, training, and change-management activities.
• Bridge the gap between technical teams and Finance professionals who rely on systems working smoothly.

District Partners is partnering with a highly regarded global law firm to identify an experienced Financial Systems Manager who will play a key role in the continued modernization and optimization of its Finance technology environment.

Working across Finance, Accounting, Billing, and Technology, the Financial Systems Manager will have significant ownership of the systems, integrations, and workflows that support the firm’s financial operations. This individual will serve as a key resource for Elite 3E, while leading initiatives focused on automation, process improvement, system functionality, and the overall user experience.

What You'll Be Owning:

• Serve as a key functional owner and subject-matter expert for Elite 3E and the broader Finance technology ecosystem
• Support and optimize systems used across Accounting, Billing, Accounts Payable, Collections, and other Finance functions
• Take ownership of complex systems issues rather than simply escalating them, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions
• Configure, test, and deploy system enhancements that improve functionality, data quality, and the end-user experience
• Support critical financial systems activities associated with month-end and year-end close

Transformation & Automation

• Identify processes that are overly manual, inefficient, or simply haven’t kept pace with the technology available
• Work directly with Finance stakeholders to redesign workflows and improve how teams interact with financial systems
• Lead enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and other Finance technology initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation
• Look beyond individual support tickets to identify recurring problems and develop scalable solutions
• Help the organization get more value from its existing technology while evaluating opportunities for further automation
• Lead financial systems projects involving Finance, Technology, vendors, and other business stakeholders
• Translate Accounting and Finance requirements into practical technology solutions
• Coordinate testing, implementation, documentation, training, and change-management activities
• Serve as the bridge between highly technical teams and Finance professionals who need systems to simply work
• Help shape priorities for future financial systems enhancements and investments

Data & Technical Problem Solving

• Use SQL and knowledge of the Elite 3E data environment to investigate issues, analyze data, and support business requirements
• Support integrations and data flows between financial applications and other enterprise systems
• Maintain appropriate system, process, configuration, and master-data documentation
• Partner with Technology teams on application performance and infrastructure-related issues when necessary

What You Bring to the Table:

• 7+ years of experience working with financial systems, Finance technology, Accounting systems, or related applications
• Strong hands-on experience with Elite 3E is required
• Experience within a law firm or similarly complex professional services environment is strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to query and analyze financial systems data
• Experience participating in or leading systems implementations, upgrades, integrations, or major enhancement projects
• Understanding of Accounting, Billing, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and related Finance processes
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems independently and communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong project-management skills and the ability to balance transformation initiatives with the realities of supporting a live Finance environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered
