Job summary

The U.S. Department of Defense seeks a project leader or consultant in the Information & Technology Directorate for a major financial automated information system, involving all phases of its software life cycle.

You will provide technical guidance, help determine priorities, ensure adequacy of project plans, and lead analysis, design, testing, debugging, deployment, monitoring and maintenance of the system.

Qualifications

• Experience leading projects across the software life cycle.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and set priorities.
• Familiarity with maintenance and deployment of large information systems.
• Proven ability to brief management on strategies for new developments.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead or consult on all phases of the life cycle of a major financial automated information system.
• Provide technical guidance, assist in determining priorities, and ensure adequacy of project plans; oversee analysis, design, testing, debugging, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Use in-depth analysis to size problems or explore new approaches; coordinate maintenance and support activities.
• Brief management on strategies to exploit and implement new developments in software design and maintenance.
• Ensure adequate technical support and oversee configuration management procedures.
