Job description

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a leading organization seeking a dedicated Financial Systems Analyst to join their International Systems Team. This role is crucial to cover a 2.5-month FMLA leave and offers strong potential for permanent hire.

Title: Financial Systems Analyst
Location: Remote
Hourly Rate: Dependent upon experience
Job Type: Contract to Hire

Position Overview:
The Financial Systems Analyst will assist the Director of Financial Systems in managing the overall performance and delivery of cross-functional projects. Responsibilities include providing end-user support, supporting system enhancements, and assisting in testing and implementation of upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing production support for financial and budgeting systems.
  • Assist in defining improvement opportunities across departments and establish best practices for financial systems use.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting requests and ensure policy and procedures are well-documented.
  • Create and maintain desktop procedures and training materials.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and meet project deliverables, working under minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, with strong interpersonal and presentation abilities.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate across the organization to achieve results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint, IBM Cognos Analytics, and Planning Analytics (TM1).
  • Knowledge of GAAP, government contract accounting principles, and FAR.

Location and Working Hours:

  • Fully remote, must be willing to work East Coast hours.
  • Bonus if located within commuting distance of Tysons Corner, VA for potential occasional in-office meetups.
