The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is recruiting for a full-time temporary Financial Specialist Senior with exceptional customer service skills to assist our Financial Services Project Accounting section located at ITD Headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
The incumbent will use accounting theory and practice to ensure the agency applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards correctly and consistently. The incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of grant and project-related activities.
The main focus of this position is to cover several areas in Project Accounting, including project/grant setups, adjustments, reporting reviews, and gathering information for responding to audits. The incumbent must possess a high level of focus and attention to detail to manage complex funding and expenditures on projects in the department’s financial accounting system. We are looking for someone with an aptitude for solving financial and accounting problems.
