As a First Commonwealth Financial Solutions Specialist I, you will embody our mission to improve the financial lives of our neighbors and their businesses. You will focus on delivering excellent customer service and creating positive experiences for both employees and customers in the Financial Solutions Center. Your role involves solving problems for personal and business customers, managing issues from start to finish, and ensuring the center operates smoothly. Building relationships and identifying opportunities to provide financial solutions that help customers achieve financial confidence are key. You are curious, attentive, and proactive in engaging customers to assess their needs and secure their business. You will work with your manager on your personal development and pathway progression, understanding that your role can significantly impact people's lives.

Note: As a Financial Solutions Center Specialist, you are eligible for quarterly sales and service incentives.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

As an FSS I, your daily activities will be divided into five core functions:

  1. Champion Operations and Compliance (80%)
  • Protect customer privacy and security
  • Process transactions and monitor for fraud
  • Follow cash handling and dual control guidelines
  • Maintain cash limits and mitigate risks according to policies
  • Ask questions and seek guidance when needed
  1. Grow Consumer Relationships (5%)
  • Engage in productive conversations via inbound calls and drive-thru
  • Inform customers about products and promotions
  • Ask for referrals and promote the Refer-A-Friend program
  • Partner with team members to uncover additional needs
  1. Deepen Consumer Relationships (5%)
  • Conduct outbound service calls and meet call goals
  • Ask purposeful questions to identify referral opportunities
  • Obtain unsecured lending certification to explore non-real estate lending opportunities
  1. Personal Development (10%)
  • Own your development and progress through Pathways
  • Learn sales frameworks like BUILD and BUILD 2.0
  • Become proficient in digital products and stay informed with internal updates
  • Complete required training promptly

Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of client-centric sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding goals and providing high-level client service
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and solutions sales skills; professional and resourceful
  • Technologically proficient (Microsoft Office, internet, mobile tech, bank systems)
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally
