Role Overview:

The primary role of the Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I - Registration Candidate is to complete the necessary registration and training to become a Financial Solutions Advisor (FSA) Stage I. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing comprehensive advice and customized solutions to clients to help achieve their financial goals.
  2. Conducting client reviews and presentations, including investment goal assessments and product recommendations such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, banking, and managed money solutions.
  3. Engaging with clients in the lobby and sharing value propositions.
  4. Triaging client leads and referring them to appropriate internal service providers based on needs and asset thresholds.
  5. Participating in ongoing training and interactions within the Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Complex.
  6. Communicating effectively and demonstrating strong computer skills to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Adapting and seeking solutions for clients in dynamic settings.

This role serves as a bridge between banking and brokerage, requiring a general awareness of core banking and investment solutions.

Required Skills and Certifications:
  • Series 7 & 66 licenses must be obtained within 120 days (Series 63 & 65 are acceptable in lieu of 66 if previously held).

This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including background checks and registration processes. Failure to maintain registration may lead to disciplinary actions.

  • Proactive mindset and effective time management.
  • Results-driven with a focus on client interests.
  • Ability to identify appropriate solutions using learned knowledge and new information.

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least one year of financial services or sales experience.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
