Summary
Provides excellent customer service, manages lobby traffic, and helps reduce customer wait times. Acts as the primary contact for resolving routine and complex customer account issues. Demonstrates proficiency in handling various tasks, including performing essential CSR functions and responding to sales and service needs. Focuses on meeting immediate customer needs while seeking opportunities to expand relationships.
Essential Functions
- Execute City’s phone, platform, and CSR service standards to deliver excellent customer service.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Promote and sell the bank’s products and services using City’s customer conversation model.
- Process routine banking transactions and service requests accurately, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, account transfers, loan payments, and debit card disputes.
- Maintain and balance a cash supply.
- Assist customers with routine and complex service issues until resolution.
- Assist with loan applications: recommend structures, gather documents, submit packages, and close retail loans as needed.
- Meet individual production goals for retail loans, checking accounts, and mortgage referrals; contribute to branch goals.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships; seek referral opportunities.
- Refer customers to other departments and partners appropriately.
- Stay updated on bank products, services, and the competitive environment.
- Complete all training within set timeframes.
- Adhere to all regulatory, audit, and compliance policies.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated sales and service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize for excellent service.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Proficiency with personal computers.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of retail banking experience preferred.
- Compliance with Loan Officer Requirements of the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act and Regulation Z, including NMLS registration within 30 days.
- Work environment is indoors, generally environmentally controlled.
- Physical activity may include sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting 5–10 pounds.
