As a Financial Services Operations Intern at Modern Woodmen of America, you will contribute to a variety of strategic goals and initiatives withing MWA Financial Services, Inc. This multi-disciplinary position supports the operations, compliance, and marketing/product needs of our broker dealer and Registered Investment Advisory firm. Interns will gain hands‑on experience working with systems and technology to enhance our service offerings, while learning directly from experiences home office staff. The role will deepen your understanding of financial services industry and diversify your skills in data analysis, research, systems and investment products.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and organizing due diligence associated with our product offerings.
  • Adi in the development of training for our registered representatives field force.
  • Assist with financial planning and marketing research.
  • Help in researching various financial services and compliance related topics.
  • Assist with project implementation for various operations/tech, compliance and investment product initiatives.
  • Collect, compile, analyze and report on financial and operating data.
  • Support internal and external web content review and conduct necessary site enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
What we need:
  • Third- or fourth year pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a business and/or data analytics major.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and excel.
  • Detail oriented, exhibiting excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Critical thinking and ability to troubleshoot solutions.

  • Internship program information: Modern Woodmen’s summer internships are ideal for current college students interested in exploring the financial services industry. The program offers an opportunity for students to gain real‑life work experience related to their studies while connecting with a mentor in their field.
  • Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $20.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employment‑based sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time, nor can we guarantee future sponsorship.
  • Work Arrangements: This is a full‑time, 11‑week, office‑focused summer internship position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday‑Friday, with flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Office focused positions work on‑site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.
