The Purpose

As part of a newly created Financial Risk and Fraud function, this role will play a foundational role in developing the function’s core processes from the ground up including dispute management, collateral requirements and post-live transaction monitoring for high risk customers, and escalation procedures in respect to potential financial exposure and/or fraud.

Your impact in this role
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Create dashboards and leverage data to generate reports to facilitate daily monitoring of chargebacks and disputes, refunds, volume trends to form fraud alerts for payment methods across PPRO’s global portfolio of payment methods. Establish and evolve a level of thresholds that would trigger escalations.
  • Dispute Management: Oversee the enhancement of dispute management team and collaborate with product on dispute management portal.
  • Commercial / collateral needs: Manage and evolve tool to evaluate customer potential liability across settlement timing, chargeback and refunds rates and timing, and fulfilment risk and potential mitigation via delayed settlement, holdbacks, or other means.
  • Escalation / Incident management: Oversee incident and/or risk escalation in relation to safeguarding incidents, fraud or risk flags / events discovered as part of transaction monitoring to bring together all functions to reach alignment and resolution.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Account Management, Product, Treasury, Customer Funds and Customer Support to escalate, troubleshoot and facilitate mitigation of financial losses.
  • Team: Manage and coach a team of two analysts
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance risk management processes and controls, identifying opportunities to strengthen our defenses and promote a secure business environment for PPRO and its clients
