Allianz is hiring a Financial Risk Analyst to join Corporate Risk Management in Minneapolis. The role focuses on financial risk management and capital management, collaborating with finance, investments, actuarial, and accounting teams to quantify and influence risk-related decisions.
The candidate will build models in C# or Macro-enabled Excel, analyze liquidity and hedge efficiency, and support financial reporting and regulatory requests. US work authorization is required.
The Financial Risk Analyst is a member of the Corporate Risk Management organization providing mathematical and technical support in the risk management of insurance products. This role works as a member of the team under general direction with a focus on financial risk management and capital management. This role will also work in collaboration with experts across the company including finance, investments, actuarial, and accounting to quantify, analyze and influence decisions on financial risk and capital.
Supports completion of projects including:
Building new or modifying existing asset and liability valuation models in C# or Macro-enabled Excel spreadsheets
Business risk and related forecasts
Valuation, financial reporting, and analyses
Support investment management functions, including:
Understanding and analysis of hedge efficiency
Liquidity assessment and management
Financial risk reporting
Assist in preparation of financial reports, memorandums, and other required analyses including:
Requests from external auditors, state regulators, and rating agencies
Communicates financial risk results to cross-functional areas including:
Business unit and other Support unit personnel
Other stakeholders
Assist, performs, or reviews financial risk research
Assist with training and direction of other entry-level risk analysts
Utilize artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g., generative AI).
Range: $57,000 -$114,000
Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
