Job summary

HTU in Tampa, FL is seeking participants for an education‑based Accelerator Program designed to transition trainees into independent Financial Advisors within 24 months or less. You'll learn to provide holistic financial guidance, complete a structured training path, and gain hands‑on experience in selling Individual Insurance products.

During the program you will conduct research, prospect through networks and events, and collaborate with the Home Office to complete proposals and underwriting

Qualifications

• Licenses required before starting: Life and Health, with up to two attempts allowed.
• Passing CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing; securities license within 24 months.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Participate in a comprehensive program to develop skills for providing holistic financial advice to clients, including classroom discussions, goal setting, and progress evaluations.
• Gain direct sales experience marketing Individual Insurance products and pass a sales process competency test.
• Cultivate prospecting skills such as research, targeting, networking, and communication using personal networks, community events, and social media.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of product offerings, demonstrating expertise in features and benefits.
• Oversee completion of content, proposals, and paperwork flow between field and Home Office to ensure a seamless application and underwriting process.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Successful completion of all trainee program requirements to gain necessary skills and knowledge.
• Required insurance licenses obtained prior to starting, with up to two attempts allowed for the Life and Health exam.
• Passing the CRD/FINRA background check at hire and ongoing, with securities licensing required within 24 months of program entry.
• Highly self-motivated and results-oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, hold a valid U.S. driver's license, and have reliable transportation for meetings and appointments.
• Promotion of a culture of diversity and inclusion, valuing different ideas and opinions, and maintaining curiosity.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of the Insurance/Financial Services industry, products, and marketing practices, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Compensation & Benefits

• First-year earnings from $36,000 to $75,000 plus uncapped incentives after training completion.
• $1000 bonus upon successful completion of trainee period and promotion to Financial Representative.
