Qualifications

• 2 years professional or hospital billing experience including CPT/ICD coding required; 5+ years of experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology through formal training/previous experience

Responsibilities

• Optimize collections and charge entry/charge capture process for all services provided. Verify patient insurance coverage.
• Obtain authorizations for professional and hospital services. Assist patients with obtaining specialty referrals.
• Communicate co-pay or other balance due information to patients/guarantor for professional and hospital services.
• Perform key billing functions in keeping with FPP, Patient Financial Systems and clinical policies and procedures.
• Perform general clerical duties necessary to support physician office practice operations.

Pay Range:

$20.10 to $31.59 Based On Experience
