Job summary

Energy Transfer, a Forbes-recognized best large employer, seeks a senior accountant to consolidate financial statements and oversee SEC reporting.

You will lead monthly closes, ensure GAAP compliance, and guide junior staff while coordinating with auditors in a fast-paced energy environment in Dallas, TX.

Strong analytical mindset, proactive communication, and a team-oriented approach are essential to drive accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insight across our finance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• CPA designation required; MBA preferred.
• 8 years of relevant industry or public accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory experience; energy sector a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational skills and initiative.
• Flexibility to work in a team setting.

Job Description

Required Education/ Minimum Level

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience
• CPA designation required and MBA preferred

Experience

• 8 years of relevant industry or public accounting experience
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Experience in the energy industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Problem solving with ability to recognize issues and deal with them directly.Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude with capability to deal effectively with people. Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written.
• Excellent organization skills and work habits.
• Sense of initiative with desire to become truly involved in the business.
