CPI Security, based in Charlotte, NC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manager of Financial Reporting to join our dynamic Finance team. This role is ideal for an Accountant with public accounting experience looking to transition into a corporate environment. The Manager of Financial Reporting will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and support the month-end close process. What You’ll Do:

  • Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monthly Bank Compliance: Prepare monthly bank compliance and review recurring rate data. Ensure monthly results are in compliance with banking covenants.
  • Assist with ERP Implementation: Manager will be a core user and stakeholder in the implementation of a new ERP system during 2025.
  • Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of workpapers and schedules for external audits. Coordinate with auditors to facilitate the audit process and address any questions or concerns.
  • Internal Controls: Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and contribute to the implementation of best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting environment. Experience with financial reporting and internal controls is highly desirable.
  • Management: experience managing and developing a team of Staff and Senior Accountants.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
