Who You Are:

You have a strong command of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations, along with a proven ability to lead the preparation of 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other filings. You’ve successfully worked through public company readiness or have supported companies transitioning into life as a public company.

You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and are comfortable building reporting infrastructure from the ground up, including establishing reporting calendars, implementing controls, and coordinating cross-functional teams. You’re proactive, highly organised, and an excellent communicator who can translate complex financial information into clear, investor-facing narratives. You’re also passionate about mentoring others, fostering education around public company requirements, and helping build a world-class reporting function that’s audit- and investor-ready.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to SEC comment letters and inquiries in collaboration with internal teams, external auditors, and legal counsel.

  • Partner with legal, finance, investor relations, and accounting teams to gather, validate, and present relevant financial and narrative disclosures.
  • Develop and maintain supporting documentation and audit-ready workpapers for all external financial reporting activities.
  • Leverage AI tools and agents to enhance reporting accuracy, automate routine processes, and surface actionable insights across regulatory and investor-facing deliverables.
  • Support the development of investor relations materials, including earnings releases, scripts, and presentations.
  • Implement and continuously improve reporting tools, templates, and processes to support accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
  • Educate internal teams on public company reporting requirements and best practices; provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor changes in SEC regulations and accounting standards, and proactively assess and communicate their potential impact on disclosures and processes.
  • Supporting accounting conclusions and disclosures by researching accounting matters, interpreting accounting guidance for proper treatment, and drafting technical accounting memos.

  • CPA is required.
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, including experience in high-growth and dynamic environments.
  • 3+ years of specific experience leading SEC filings, including end-to-end ownership of 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and S-1 filings and other regulatory reports.
