Job Overview – Financial Reporting Manager (Remote):

Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000/year + bonus

Location: Montgomery County, PA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Remote)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Financial Reporting Manager (Remote) for our client based in Montgomery County, PA. In this key role, you’ll lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements, manage audit coordination, and drive improvements in financial reporting aligned with US GAAP, ASC 606, and purchase accounting. Ideal candidates are CPAs with Big 4 or Tier 2 public accounting experience.

Responsibilities as the Financial Reporting Manager:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and supporting documentation in line with US GAAP.
  • Technical Accounting: Analyze complex transactions including ASC 606 revenue recognition, purchase accounting, and contingent liabilities.
  • Audit Management: Coordinate with external auditors and lead annual audit preparations.
  • Month-End Close: Support consolidation and month-end processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Process Optimization: Drive improvements in accounting systems and perform ad hoc financial analyses.

Qualifications for the Financial Reporting Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Certification: CPA is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of accounting or audit experience, preferably within public accounting (Big 4 or Tier 2).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ASC 606, purchase accounting, business valuations, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attributes: Highly analytical and organized, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage projects and priorities independently in a remote setting.
