Title: Manager of Financial Reporting
Location: Fairfield County, CT (Hybrid)
Salary: $150,000 - $170,000 + Bonus
Position Overview

Are you ready for a high-profile opportunity in financial reporting? A leading Fairfield County global technology organization is seeking a Manager of External Reporting to join its high‑performing corporate finance team. This is a great opportunity to step into a visible role that works across the business and plays a key part in accurate, timely, and strategic financial reporting. In this role, you’ll assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10‑Q, 10‑K) as well as 8‑Ks and other regulatory submissions. You’ll also serve as a technical expert on technical accounting and policy matters, providing guidance to finance and business leaders on new transactions, projects, and acquisitions. This position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and collaborates regularly with Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations, and business unit finance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensuring high‑quality financial disclosures in coordination with corporate leaders and business unit teams.
  • Research and evaluate technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition, business combinations, and impairment analyses; engage external advisors as needed.
  • Draft clear, well‑supported technical accounting memos and presentations for senior management.
  • Review financial information included in Investor Relations materials.
  • Coordinate and manage the external audit process, along with statutory and benefit plan audits.
  • Oversee SOX controls related to financial reporting and corporate accounting.
  • Manage quarterly reporting packages, including balance sheet fluctuation analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement by championing automation, technology enhancements, and streamlined reporting processes.
Qualifications
  • BS/BA/BBA in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred.
  • CPA required.
  • Approximately 6–10 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or corporate financial reporting.
  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance.
  • Proven ability to research and apply technical accounting guidance.
  • Tech‑savvy professional with a passion for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Workiva experience is a plus.
