Job summary

The University of Utah Health seeks a Financial Reporting Analyst III to support monthly and year-end close, prepare annual financial statements, and implement GASB reporting initiatives. You will collaborate with the Associate Director and Financial Reporting Manager to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial information across university entities.

Responsibilities include preparing statements, assisting with audits, maintaining chart of accounts, and supporting system improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent
6+ years directly related work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4+ years with a master’s degree

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and other required monthly and quarterly financial reports.
Participate in the implementation and ongoing application of GASB pronouncements.
Support monthly and year-end close processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with departments to resolve accounting questions and guidance on proper treatment.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Maintain the chart of accounts, chartfields, and general ledger structure.
Assist with responses to external auditor inquiries.
