Job summary

Largeton Group seeks a Financial Project Analyst to support the MTA IT Telecom Services & Expense Management Unit. You will analyze telecom expenses, audit invoices, and develop budgeting reports to identify cost savings.

The role requires strong SQL/Tableau skills, experience with PeopleSoft/ServiceNow, and superb analytical capabilities to drive cost efficiencies across complex projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
  • 10 years of telecom services and expense management experience.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, invoice auditing, and project-based financial management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial management and telecom expense support for MTA IT's Telecom Services & Expense Management Unit.
  • Develop, establish, and optimize processes for managing, monitoring, and analyzing telecom spending and expenses.
  • Audit, review, and analyze invoices, wireless plans, and equipment purchases from all carriers.
  • Prepare and analyze budget variance, expense, and financial planning reports.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis using SQL and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) to identify cost savings and optimize expenditures.
  • Perform contract funding analysis, vendor expense analysis, and ROI/cost-benefit analysis.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on project status, expenses, forecasts, and business trends.
  • Support the annual budget process by tracking planned vs. actual expenses, and preparing mid-year and year-end forecasts.
  • Investigate and resolve anomalies and overcharges in vendor accounts through detailed auditing and analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and provide analytical support.
  • Utilize financial systems (PeopleSoft, ServiceNow) and Microsoft Office for reporting and analysis tasks.
  • Maintain strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills while managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Remain updated on new technology trends relevant to telecom and financial analysis.
