Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Finance Project Analyst in Hanover, MD for a full-time position in the OTECH finance group. The role offers a hybrid on-site/work-from-home arrangement and involves forecasting, controls, and monthly reporting for multiple projects while interfacing with internal and external customers.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance, 3–8 years experience, and be a US citizen eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance; 3–8 years experience.
  • Understanding of POC, CPFF, T&M type contracts.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles; Sarbanes-Oxley Act; and U.S. GAAP.
  • Proficient Excel user with an understanding of financial modeling concepts.
  • Able to view the big picture with a good grasp for details.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support proposal development: analyze RFP, create WBS and basis of estimate, fee recommendations, cost volume.
  • Support Project Managers to prepare and analyze internal Revenue forecast.
  • Lead project controls: ETC, EAC, VAC analyses; weekly actuals; hours summary.
  • Support month-end close: forecast vs actual variances and journal entries.
  • Assist in developing Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plans.
  • Prepare monthly Customer reporting requirements; support cash flow collections.
  • Assist regional finance lead in SOX compliance and external regulatory reporting.
  • Maintain knowledge of government financial terminology, regulations, and clauses.
  • Provide support in invoice processing and program procurement.

The Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) finance group of Oceaneering International has a intermediate level opportunity for a full-time Finance Project Analyst. This position will prepare accurate financial information in a timely manner in order to support the financial requirements within OTECH and for assigned projects. Communication and teamwork are vital to success in this role as the position will be interfacing with several internal and external customers on a regular basis. The ability to prioritize in a fast-paced work environment will also be a key to success in this position. T his position is based in Hanover, MD and may be eligible for a hybrid on-site/work from home arrangement.

Essential
  • Support proposal development to include analyze the RFP, support proposal manager to generate the work breakdown structure and basis of estimate, fee recommendation utilizing weighted guidelines approach, and coordinate and produce a cost volume
