Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree + 9 years Finance/Business Management experience, or Master's + 7 years, or Master's/PhD + 5 years.
  • Minimum 4 years in Program Financial Planning & Control, Cost/Business Management, or Cost Accounting.
  • Experience with Profit and Loss Management.
  • Working Capital Management – Cash Flow/Inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage FP&A activities for five Operating Units.
  • Coordinate Monthly/Quarterly Financial Reporting and Planning for the Division.
  • Develop consolidated Long Range Strategic Plans and Annual Operating Plans.
  • Manage program financials including forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Support SOX compliance, audits, and internal controls.
  • Develop strategies to improve financial performance with program and finance teams.
  • Interface with dispersed business, program, and sector personnel.

Job description

  • Lead and maintain accountability for all Financial Planning activities supporting five Operating Units and their program portfolios
  • Report directly to the BACS Business Unit Director of Business Management
  • Manage a team of financial analysts
  • Coordinate Monthly/Quarterly Financial Reporting and Planning processes for the Division
  • Lead development of consolidated Long Range Strategic Plans and Annual Operating Plans
  • Manage program financials, including forecasting, reporting, analysis, estimate-at-completion analysis, and working capital analysis
  • Execute and support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and documentation
  • Develop strategies with program, finance, and business management teams to improve financial performance
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Develop presentations for and brief Program and Division leadership
  • Interface with geographically dispersed business, program, and sector personnel
  • Support initiatives and ad hoc requests from Division, Sector, and Corporate leadership
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain Financial Management processes, tools, and procedures
  • Manage contract profitability assessments, reviews, and products
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and assist with mitigation or capture plans
  • Oversee cash collection and receipts processes
  • Support FP&A inquiries and Internal Audit activities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 9 years Finance/Business Management work experience, or master's degree from an accredited university and 7 years Finance/Business Management work experience, or master's degree from an accredited university or a PhD from an accredited university and 5 years Finance/Business Management work experience, or a master's degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Program Financial Planning & Control, Program Cost Control, Program Business Management, or Cost Accounting
  • Experience with Profit and Loss Management
  • Working Capital Management – Cash Flow/Inventory
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
  • Professional, collaborative, and organized interaction with internal and external business partners
  • Ability to drive team performance and motivate team members
  • Strong leadership and strategy development capabilities
  • Ability to understand and communicate top issues, risks, and opportunities
  • Support for company internal controls and proactive communication with senior management
  • Preferred: CPA, MBA, advanced Finance and Accounting skills
  • Preferred: Management of teams and leader-of-leaders experience
  • Preferred: Experience presenting financial data to senior leadership
  • Preferred: Demonstrated success developing and leading functional and cross-functional teams
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP, NGFP, or financial reporting software
  • Preferred: Experience supporting SOX, Internal/External Audit activities; CAS, FAR, DFARS requirements, and company policies and procedures
  • Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred: Secret or Top Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
