Job summary

Respective Wealth, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, is seeking a motivated Financial Planning Intern for the summer to gain hands-on experience in financial planning and wealth management.

You will participate in client meetings, assist advisors with planning and service needs, and support the preparation of client information and CRM data while developing professional skills and industry knowledge for a potential future Advisor role.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Planning, or a related field.
• Senior-year student with genuine interest in wealth management and financial planning.
• Professional, friendly communication style and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and observe client meetings to gain exposure to wealth management.
• Assist advisors with financial planning and client service needs.
• Support the preparation and organization of client information.
• Update and maintain accurate client information within the CRM.
• Assist with financial planning and practice-related projects.
• Complete special projects to provide exposure to the business.

This is a hands‑on opportunity to gain meaningful experience in financial planning and wealth management while working alongside experienced advisors and professionals.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Planning, or a related field and entering your senior year
• Genuine interest in building a long‑term career in financial services and wealth management
• Strong interest in learning about financial planning and the Advisor profession
• Professional, friendly, and personable communication style
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and independent problem‑solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
