Job summary

Mariner is seeking an Intern in Financial Planning to support advisors in servicing high net worth clients through holistic planning and relationship support. You will gain hands-on experience with onboarding, meeting preparation, and creating financial plans while delivering exceptional client experiences.

You'll develop advisory, consultative, communication, and EQ skills; participate in client meetings and follow-up tasks, and contribute to team discussions on improving service and business

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with an expected graduation within 12 months.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
• Interest in pursuing a client-facing advisory career with business development focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist onboarding by preparing and processing paperwork.
• Schedule client meetings and develop clear, engaging materials to explain financial concepts.
• Observe client meetings to learn how advisors build relationships.
• Participate in follow-up tasks including documentation and research.
• Contribute ideas to improve client service and business development opportunities.
• Support client service activities, account maintenance, and money movement processes.
• Use planning and CRM software to assist with plan development and data management.
• Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and compiling deliverables.
