Job summary

Northwestern Mutual in Minneapolis seeks a Financial Planning Associate to support subscribing advisors by preparing financial plans, analyses, and reports using standardized templates and processes. This role enables advisors to spend more time meeting clients and growing practices.

You will assist with planning reviews, data entry, and delivering organized materials for client meetings, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery while maintaining workflow standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License (or ability to obtain within first 30 days)
• FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses (or ability to obtain within the first year)
• Strong knowledge of investment products, analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and credentials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive financial plans using established assumptions and workflows.
• Complete planning requests submitted by subscribing advisors.
• Prepare PX plans and other standard planning analyses.
• Create insurance illustrations and supporting planning reports.
• Review planning recommendations for accuracy and consistency.
