Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Business Planning Analyst I/II/Sr to support the Big Bend Power Station within the Electric Supply organization.

The successful candidate will develop budgets and forecasts, analyze financial performance, and provide insights to support short- and long-term business objectives. The level of hire will be based on education, experience, and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support development, tracking, and reporting of capital, O&M, and other plans and forecasts.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to translate operational activities into financial plans.
• Analyze actual, budgeted, and forecasted performance and explain variances.
• Assist in monthly close activities, including accruals and journal entries.
• Develop and maintain financial models, tools, and analyses to improve forecasting.
