Job summary

Jambalaya Group in the United States seeks a Financial Planning Analyst to support Financial Advisors throughout the planning process. You will update planning data, build models, prepare client-ready materials, and participate in client meetings, contributing to NaviPlan-to-MoneyGuide transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in financial planning, finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field; CFP Board program preferred.
• Two years of experience at a financial-services firm; internships or comparable experience considered.
• Series 7, 66, and Life/Health licenses or ability to obtain within a set timeframe.
• MoneyGuidePro experience strongly preferred; NaviPlan experience valuable.
• CFP certification preferred; willingness to pursue CFP is valuable.
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements, tax returns, estate documents, and regulations.
• Strong analytical judgment, math comfort, accuracy, organization, and scenario evaluation.
• Excellent written, verbal, and client-presentations skills; professional communication.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Adobe, CRM systems, databases, and other business software.
• Integrity, discretion, and collaboration across advisor and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary financial-planning documents, recommendations, and MoneyGuidePro deliverables for advisor review and client meetings.
• Update client data, build/run quality-check planning models, scenario analyses, and supporting illustrations.
• Gather and analyze retirement, investments, cash flow, insurance, education, taxes, and estate inputs.
• Support insurance-analysis by preparing product illustrations and reprojections within licensing parameters.
• Prepare for client meetings by assembling files and identifying data gaps or follow-up items.
• Present planning models in client meetings and communicate concepts clearly with advisors.
• Complete meeting follow-up, draft written plans, and deliver client-ready materials.
• Assist in NaviPlan-to-MoneyGuide transition with templates, workflows, and quality standards.
• Maintain electronic client files, protect confidential information, and follow data-security procedures.
• Contribute to planning-team projects and process improvements as needed.
