Job summary

Amentum at Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, FL seeks a seasoned financial professional to lead monthly performance reviews and the budgeting/forecasting processes. You will support cost control, charge codes to WBS items, and produce management briefings on cost performance for NASA contracts.

The role requires up to date attention to schedule, independence, and the ability to team with business analysts on cost and schedule monitoring. Telework options may be available.

Job Responsibilities

• Under supervision, will generate monthly performance review briefings using Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
• Will support performance of budgeting, forecasting functions.
• Will support performance of ensuring appropriate charging of costs to specified work breakdown structure (WBS) line items.
• Assess and partner corrective action and mitigation plans.
• Will support business analysts in monitoring costs and schedules.
• Will work as part of a team responsible for generating, validating and submitting contractual financial deliverables (DRs) to NASA. Prepare management briefing reports summarizing cost performance at a total contract.
• Require excellent time management skills to be able to multi-task without sacrificing accuracy and deadlines, self-motivated, demonstrated initiative and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Perform other duties as needed across Financial Planning/Reporting and Finance/Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field (e.g., Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources). At least 10 years of related experience.
• Must have a valid U.S. Driver's License.

Physical Requirement

• May be required to climb stairs to access equipment for trouble shooting.
• Will be required to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and other associated personal protective equipment.
• Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.
• Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures.
• Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.

Work Environment

• May be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex.
• Position may require individual to travel daily to different areas on site.
• Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand, may be required to access various locations on the facility.
• Climbing ladders and platforms may be necessary.
• All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and company safety standards.

Equipment and Machines

• Computers and printers used for producing reports and schedules.
• Variety of equipment used in testing.

Attendance

• Full-time work hours.
• Position may require occasional overtime, including weekend work, depending on task.
• Must be dependable and punctual.
• Shift work may be required.

Other Essential Function

• Must be able to accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication.
• Must be able to travel to support position requirements. This may include travel to and from customer location, which may involve airline travel.
• In some cases, accommodations can be made for POV, if necessary.
• Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
• Must comply with all "drug free workplace" requirements as mandated by directives issued by the appropriate federal contracting officer and the company, which requires drug testing for use of illegal drugs by employees in sensitive positions.
• Government security clearance may be required in the future.
• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.

Compensation Details

• Salary starts at $70,000. Final pay will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
