Job summary

Colonial Group, Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide financial analyses, recommendations, and support across subsidiaries and act as a liaison between accounting and operations. The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn about the business and grow with the finance department.

You will develop analytical models, review trends, and contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting efforts, while partnering with leaders to drive performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or math.
• Strong Excel knowledge including pivot tables and XLookup.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards and Power BI is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director of FP&A to develop and refine processes for financial analysis and reporting across Colonial's subsidiary companies.
• Partner with leaders and operations teams to better understand the business.
• Collaborate with accounting to collect and analyze financial data and turn it into actionable insights.
• Identify and develop key indicators impacting performance and results.
• Build and maintain Excel models to support financial modeling, reporting, and analysis.
• Closely analyze monthly sales and track margin performance.
• Support the development of the annual budget and forecasting process.
• Review and analyze trends in revenues, costs, and inventories.
• Identify areas to automate reporting and eliminate duplication.

The Financial Analyst position will be responsible for providing financial analyses, recommendations, and support for Colonial Group and will act as a liaison between accounting and operations. JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES

• Work with the Director of FP&A in developing and refining processes to improve financial analysis and reporting across Colonial's subsidiary companies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree is required (finance, accounting, business, math, etc.)
• A working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, XLookup, etc)
• The candidate should be comfortable learning new software platforms; prior exposure to JD Edwards and Power BI is helpful but not required
• Verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
