Job description

BMS CAT is a trusted leader in restoration. From initial clean-up to complete rebuilds, BMS CAT supports clients every step of the way. We handle multi-million-dollar commercial projects as well as residential losses of all sizes. Founded in 1948, we have built a long-standing reputation for quality, reliability, and service excellence.

We are a team of high-energy, high-performing individuals who work together to maintain BMS CAT's position as an industry leader.

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, FP&A owns financial and private equity lender/sponsor compliance reporting, review, and analysis at the corporate and consolidated level. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and Senior Leadership to assess and drive the Company's strategy and performance — with primary ownership of consolidated-level analysis, monthly management and sponsor/lender reporting, and the annual budgeting process. The role also owns financial modeling for capital projects and executive-level presentation development, and is expected to develop a deep, hands-on understanding of business drivers across BMS's operating footprint.

*This position reports to our headquarters and is an on-site role. Remote only or relocation will not be offered.

Growth Opportunity:

This role is currently an individual-contributor position with no direct reports. As BMS continues to execute against its growth plans — organic and through acquisition — there is real potential for the scope of this role to expand over time, including the addition of team members reporting into this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, analyze, report, and present weekly and monthly business KPIs for senior management, private equity sponsor, and lender presentations/meetings.
  • Own and continuously improve a dynamic, cohesive, and linked 3-statement / liquidity / EBITDA / Net Debt / debt covenant financial planning and analysis model.
  • Prepare monthly analysis and commentary on key financial results, trends, and variances from budget and forecast at the consolidated level.
  • Drive the annual consolidated corporate budgeting process by consolidating branch budgets, validating underlying assumptions, and preparing summary analyses and presentation materials.
  • Own debt covenant compliance reporting and related analytical support, including back-casted and pro forma adjusted EBITDA calculations.
  • Partner with the leadership team to support medium-to long-term financial and strategic planning through data-driven analysis, scenarios, and modeling.
  • Identify and quantify risks and opportunities to plan, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of BMS 's ERP, data, and other systems to deliver meaningful insights regarding business performance and key drivers.
  • Maintain and enhance the rolling 13-week and monthly cash forecasts, including analysis of cash flow and working capital trends and identification/presentation of improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare the monthly borrowing base file and liquidity statements for the asset-based lending agreement.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc consolidated analysis as needed to provide decision-making support on new initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new financial frameworks and take ownership of ambiguous, high-stakes problems.
  • No prior credit agreement or covenant compliance experience required — we're glad to develop the right analytical mind into this. Prior exposure to a private equity-backed or highly leveraged environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
  • MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred but not required.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including familiarity with consolidated financial statements and GAAP.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to synthesize data and clearly convey actionable messages to senior stakeholders, including private equity sponsors and lenders.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills, including three-statement models, debt schedules, and scenario/sensitivity analysis.
  • Experience with ERP and business intelligence tools required; Sage Intacct and/or Tableau experience a plus.
  • Strong quantitative abilities and exacting attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits:

Your compensation will vary by experience level. This can be discussed during the first interview.

  • Medical, vision, and dental coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Life insurance
  • Disability insurance
  • Pet Insurance
  • Generous paid time off, and more
