Job summary

The Food Group in the Tampa Bay Area is seeking a sharp, data-driven Financial Analyst to partner with executive leadership on revenue forecasting and cost optimization. You’ll build predictive models, track KPIs, and deliver actionable insights that impact long‑term growth.

Based in the Tampa Bay Area with a hybrid schedule (in office 2 days a week), you will analyze financial data, prepare reports, and translate complex numbers into strategic stories for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related quantitative field.
• 3–5 years of FP&A, financial strategy, or related experience with executive exposure.
• Preferred CFA, CPA, or FPAC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate scenarios and efficiency opportunities.
• Assist budgeting, rolling forecasts, and KPI tracking.

We’re looking for a sharp, data-driven Financial Analyst to join our team and serve as a key strategic partner to our executive leadership. In this role, you won’t just crunch numbers—you’ll build predictive models, track critical KPIs, and deliver actionable insights that directly shape our revenue forecasting, cost optimization, and long-term business growth. In this role, you will analyze financial data, build predictive models, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare reports. Your insights will directly support our executive leadership team in optimizing costs, forecasting revenue, and making informed strategic decisions.

** Must reside in the Tampa Bay Area. **

** Hybrid in office 2 days a week.**

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate business scenarios, resource allocation strategies, and financial efficiency opportunities.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in coordinating the annual budgeting process and driving rolling monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
• Variance Analysis: Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance by comparing actual financial results against budgets and KPIs, identifying and explaining key variances.
• Executive Reporting: Prepare and submit comprehensive financial reports, along with analysis, to senior management.
• Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive analysis and industry research to monitor external economic trends impacting the business.
• Process Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline finance workflows and improve data integrity across financial systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Business Acumen: Ability to connect granular financial metrics to high-level corporate strategy.
• Data Storytelling: Translating dense numerical data into clear, compelling stories and presentations for non-financial stakeholders.
• Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Comfort working with ambiguous or incomplete data to form reliable hypotheses and forecasts.
• Attention to Detail & Accuracy: High standards for financial data integrity and precision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
• Preferred professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or FPAC (Financial Planning & Analysis Certified).
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Strategy, Corporate Finance, Business Analytics, PCAOB Audit, or Investment Banking / Strategic Consulting.
• Track Record: Demonstrated experience interacting directly with executive leadership or senior management and delivering business-critical insights
