Job summary

The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst at American Pacific Mortgage Corporation drives the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, variance analyses, and special projects. You will develop business intelligence tools and forecasting models to report on revenue, costs and KPIs, and compile monthly branch profit and loss statements.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 3 years in FP&A, preferably in mortgage or financial services.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles is required.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience, advanced modeling in Excel is required.

• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting cycles of the company.
• Develop business intelligence tools, forecast models, and dashboards that assist with reporting, analyzing, and forecasting revenue, costs, and KPIs for the Company.
• Compilation and analysis of monthly branch profit and loss statements.
• Support the Company with insights and analysis that enable effective financial decisions.
• Drive standardization and automation of internal reporting, identify mapping errors within systems and provide resolutions.
• Support month-end close activities.
• Contribute to process improvement and process documentation initiatives.
• Complete additional ad hoc analysis, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
