What will you do in this role?
As a Finance Analyst, you will analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, preparing, and consolidating the monthly reforecast and annual business planning process across multiple entities, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Provide detailed analysis of financial results, variance to budget, and tracking to forecast; respond to inquiries regarding financial results and margin projections.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and assist with other projects as needed, including cash forecast development, preparation and consolidation, and design/build dashboards to measure performance.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports; prepare wires and serve as backup for Treasury‑related activities; maintain division cost tracker for all expenses.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy in financial databases and spreadsheets, ensuring deliverables meet regulatory requirements.
Financial Analysis, Reporting, and Data Management
- Conduct in‑depth financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
- Evaluate performance against key KPIs and benchmarks.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders; present findings to management.
- Update financial databases and maintain data accuracy and integrity.
Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance Analysis
- Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather budget inputs and analyze variances.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial efficiency and effectiveness.
Ad‑Hoc Financial Projects
- Participate in special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance or VP of Finance.
- Contribute to process improvements and implementation of best practices.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (accounting preferred).
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience; strong home‑building industry exposure is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with Vena financial planning software.
- Experience with financial models and business planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong drive for results and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and ability to translate large data sets into actionable stories.
